2010 MOTHER NATURE AND HER WHIMS

After years of dryness, since 2008 we know superior rains than the local average: around 1000 mm a year!! With very rainy autumns and winters! The spring 2010 had begun well then was particularly marked with the rain storm in Var on June 15th and 16th.We were lucky not to be in the so hard stricken area but we underwent amounts of wateron June 15th: of 154 mm in La Tour and 190 mm on the plot of  la Calignade and 76 mm in Barbeyrolles.

Blooming had begun on May 24th in la Calignade and Barbeyrolles then on May 27th in La Tour, but during this period, temperatures were lower than the seasonal average.

We harvested the grapes from August 25th in La Tour de l’Evêque until September 22nd (from August 28th till September 17th in Barbeyrolles).

The quality of wines is fortunately protected.

Wines of this vintage 2010 present a big delicacy and a beautiful length in the mouth.

Our wines are often rewarded by medals or articles of national and international press
